High School Internships

Youth entering grades 10-12 may also be interested in the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program.

 

About Internships

Learn the challenges and rewards of being a Sealth staff member - in this volunteer junior staff position you'll assist counselors, program specialists and support staff while learning about all aspects of the job. Interns attend one week of training at the beginning of the summer, then volunteer for three sessions throughout the summer.

Requirements

Prior completetion of the CIT/RSIT program is highly recommended. Interns must be at least 16 years old before training begins.

 

Service Hours

Since a High School Internship is a volunteer position, you will earn service hours for your work at camp upon successful completion of the program. Interns can earn up to 12 hours a day for volunteer sessions (not including the training week).

 

How to Apply

You must apply to the High School Internship program. All applicants must submit an application and five references, and have a personal interview with the Camp Sealth staff. Applications for 2012 will be accepted starting in January. The deadline for application is April 30.

  2. Five (5) reference forms completed by teachers, advisors, supervisors, coaches or youth leaders. References can be written and mailed, or submitted online.
